Unpleasant scenes in Aare! ÖSV skier Katharina Liensberger crashed in her first run in the giant slalom on Saturday, initially lying in the snow for a short time, but was at least able to get up under her own power.

So it wasn't just a setback in sporting terms for the Vorarlberg native, who hasn't really found her feet this season.

Headache
Liensberger was already more than two seconds behind when she suddenly skied straight into the gate. She then realized that the next gate was not going to work out and crashed. She hit the back of her head on the slope and remained lying down for a few minutes. Fortunately, she made it to the finish on both feet. However, it was reported during the ORF live broadcast that Liensberger had complained of a headache in the finish area. She was taken to hospital for examination.
