Raab on ÖVP initiative
Leitkultur: Immigrants must adapt here!
In an interview on krone.tv, Federal Minister Susanne Raab (ÖVP) provides insights into the payment card, which is also likely to be introduced in Austria. This would allow refugees to receive social welfare benefits in kind from the payment card: "Unfortunately, the cash paid out so far is often transferred to family members abroad. To Syria or Afghanistan, for example. We don't want that."
This would only pay smugglers and fuel smuggling crime. In response to the moderator's specific question as to whether a payment card will also be introduced in Austria, the Minister replied: "Yes, the payment card makes perfect sense. I think its introduction is important and I will support it."
Raab was also commissioned by Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer to develop a guiding culture for Austria. This is a concept that should regulate the coexistence of all people in Austria. Raab: "Leitkultur concerns living together, coexistence and language. However, integration is at the heart of the guiding culture. You have to keep a constant eye on whether everyone is sticking to the rules." If rules such as attending German courses are not adhered to, there will be cuts for refugees.
