An extremely brutal attack took place in Graz on Sunday night: a man and a woman overpowered a 16-year-old Turkish man and stabbed him several times in the back, according to his own statements. The teenager had to undergo surgery and the perpetrators are on the run. Information is requested.

A 16-year-old Turkish man was the victim of a brutal knife attack on Sunday at around 9.15 pm. According to his own statements, he was walking along Friedhofgasse in the Gries district when an unknown man grabbed him and wouldn't let go. An equally unknown woman then allegedly grabbed a knife and attacked him. 

Victim underwent emergency surgery in LKH
The 16-year-old suffered several serious stab wounds and cuts to his back and, after initial medical treatment in an ambulance, was taken to Graz Regional Hospital, where he even had to undergo surgery. According to current information, he is now out of danger.

Search for clues
However, the two perpetrators are still at large. Previous investigations and witness interviews have not shed any light on the exact sequence of events. The Styrian police have now sent out a personal description: The female is said to have been wearing black trousers and a black jacket at the time of the crime. The man is believed to be around 16 years old, with blond hair and a childlike face. He is about 170 centimeters tall, has a slim build and was wearing a black T-shirt with light-colored pants.
