A 17-year-old moped rider had a wild chase with the police in Stockenboi on Saturday. The teenager sped away from the officers far too fast. Only his father was able to clear up the crime. 

When the police officers noticed the young lad and his friend, who was sitting on the pillion, on Stockenboier Straße on Saturday afternoon, they immediately took up the chase. And despite the siren and blue lights being switched on, the 17-year-old made no attempt to stop. The teenager and his friend repeatedly evaded the police officers' attempts to stop them with daring driving maneuvers.

Finally, the duo fled via a forest road with barriers, heaving the moped under the barriers.

Father persuaded son to come home
However, the police were able to track down the owner of the moped using the license plate number: the 17-year-old's father. Only he was able to persuade his son to come home and hand himself in to the officers. 

The officers then carried out a speed test on the moped, which clearly exceeded the speed limit. Father and son will now be charged.
