"30 years of Falco Symphonic!": A big surprise awaited drummer Thomas Lang at the concert in Wiener Neustadt. He was awarded the "Glass Leopold"!

The new edition of the legendary Falco Symphonic concert took place in Wiener Neustadt just recently. Thirty years ago, around 10,000 visitors attended the spectacle. This time, numerous celebrities such as Ana Milva Gomes and Tini Kainrath as well as members of the original Falco band from back then were there to celebrate the Austropop icon musically. Also present was drummer and companion Thomas Lang.

Born in Stockerau, Lang has worked alongside Falco in his career with international music greats such as Tina Turner, Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Nina Hagen, Georg Michael and Bonnie Tyler. During his visit, "one of the most iconic modern drummers of our time" was awarded the "Glass Leopold" by Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner. "Thomas Lang has conquered the music world from Lower Austria and is a role model for the next generation," said the head of the province.

Extraordinary career
Mayor Klaus Schneeberger was also delighted with the visit of the famous Falco drummer: "You don't have a world star like him in the city every day. The fact that he has come to Wiener Neustadt from the USA especially for this concert shows that he is close to home and is not a matter of course."
