The cycling marathon, the Musi-Open Air and the European Archery Championships ensure full guest beds in the Nockberge mountains in early summer.

Bad Kleinkirchheim is a mecca for winter sports in Carinthia. Warm thermal water also attracts relaxation seekers and wellness fans. But the region also has a lot to offer during the summer months: For example, the ARBÖ cycling marathon will take place next weekend. Thousands of cycling enthusiasts are expected to attend the sporting event.

We are very well booked for June. The European Archery Championships alone will bring us around 25,000 overnight stays.

A few days later, things get musical again with the popular Musi-Open-Air. The sporting highlight will be the European Archery Championships, which will take place from June 21 to 29. "These events are of great economic importance and generate overnight stays throughout the region," explains Bad Kleinkirchheim's mayor Matthias Krenn, who is also a hotelier himself. He speaks of a very good booking situation. Some beds are still available.

Focus on archers
The head of the municipality expects the European Championships in particular to provide a lasting boost. "Our aim is to attract archers in the future. After the European Championships, one or two courses will certainly remain for future use."
