Police strike
Cannabis, amphetamine and ecstasy in bunker apartment
The arrest of an Austrian who was caught with drugs in Bavaria has now led the Tyrolean police to three suspected accomplices of the 21-year-old. The young men are said to have stashed drugs and sold them on. Drugs worth 165,000 euros were found in an apartment.
In September 2023, German police in Bavaria arrested a 21-year-old Austrian who was found to have cannabis. The investigation into the case led the officers, in a joint investigation with their Tyrolean colleagues, onto the trail of another Austrian (20) who is suspected of being his accomplice.
Suspected accomplice caught in hotel
Around six months after the first arrest, on March 5, the investigators' manhunt was finally successful: the 20-year-old was arrested in a hotel room in Innsbruck. The police found 16 grams of cocaine and a small amount of cannabis on him.
The investigation was continued and a so-called "narcotics bunker apartment" - also in Innsbruck - was found.

But the investigation did not end there: the officers managed to track down a so-called "narcotics bunker apartment" in the provincial capital, in which they seized 16 kilos of cannabis, 120 grams of amphetamine and 400 ecstasy tablets with a street value of 165,000 euros.
According to the police, the tenant of the apartment, a 22-year-old local man, had probably stashed the drugs for the previously arrested 20-year-old and another accomplice, a 21-year-old Austrian, before they sold them on. The latter handed himself in to the police a few days later in the presence of his lawyer.
Three suspects in custody
All three suspects refused to make a statement. They were remanded in custody.
