Night-time robbery in Lavanttal over cannabis

Cannabis is likely to have been the reason for the night-time robbery in St. Marein near Wolfsberg on Monday night (we reported). The perpetrator and victim are believed to belong to the drug scene.

The 17-year-old and the two 19-year-old men from the Wolfsberg district had probably thought they could get hold of drugs as a result of the night-time robbery. They had assumed that they would find cannabis in the outbuilding of the 68-year-old's property in St. Marein. The 68-year-old was able to use a trick to put the three perpetrators to flight. However, after the two 19-year-olds reappeared at around 5.30 a.m. and woke up the 68-year-old with the burglary noise, the police were called. The handcuffs clicked for one of the 19-year-olds, and the other two were also identified during the investigation.

"The 68-year-old is known in the drug scene, which is why there was a rumor that he had stashed cannabis on his property. However, the forensics revealed nothing. Now the two 19-year-olds have to answer for attempted robbery. The 17-year-old will not get away without punishment either. At least he wasn't involved in the attempted burglary," the police say.
