The election campaign in the super election year is currently in the starting blocks, with intense months ahead for Austrians. Months of bold announcements, empty promises and election sweets with no lasting taste. Everything is being done for the people's vote at the ballot box. But which politician will speak for the people? Krone+ took a look at which party really stands up for ordinary Austrians.
"Elections are free, free of charge, some even say they are free." Volker Pispers, one of the best-known representatives of political cabaret, puts it jokingly and painfully in a nutshell. Because after elections, promises made are often worth nothing. We Austrians are used to this. And a lot of time usually passes before the next elections before we forget.
