Friend threatened with a gun out of “concern”

"Just wanted to help": Man (41) was now on trial in St. Pölten for making a dangerous threat. After the victim was absent, the trial was adjourned.

It was a kind of relief operation that got out of hand. He had been worried about his friend after he had been unavailable for hours. It didn't occur to the 41-year-old in his drunken stupor that this was nothing unusual in the middle of the night.

Armed with a pistol (softgun), the man from Mostviertel entered his friend's apartment. However, after he had convinced himself that his friend, who was drunk from taking pills, was fine, the tide turned.

Suddenly he held the gun to his friend's head and shouted "Boom, boom" - and pulled the trigger. Then he calmly sat down next to the victim and smoked one cigarette after another. "I would have shot them all. I was so worried about you," he then returned to his original mission.

In court, there were gaps in the defendant's memory. Not surprisingly for the witness: "He was on something", the 26-year-old describes. Whether this was a bad joke by a drunk or a dangerous threat is now to be clarified at the St. Pölten Regional Court. After the victim was absent, the trial was adjourned!
