A group got into an argument with a 39-year-old Turkish man in a Villach apartment on Monday evening - with a bloody outcome!

A conflict broke out between the group - two male Austrians (37 and 39) and a female Austrian (27) - and the man who was later stabbed at around 9 pm in his apartment in Villach. The reason for this is still unknown.

However, the three quickly left the situation: "The three then left the location, but were followed by the Turkish citizen", according to the provincial police directorate. The 39-year-old stabbed his victim (37) several times in Italiener Straße, injuring him in a life-threatening manner and fleeing for the time being. On Tuesday morning, Villach Regional Hospital was able to give the all-clear: The man could be stabilized and is no longer in mortal danger!

Apparently he then changed his mind, because he came to the police station himself: "The suspect, a 39-year-old Turkish citizen, fled for the time being and then came to a police station in Villach to file a report. He was provisionally arrested on urgent suspicion," said the officers.

As the "Krone" learned, there is already a long history between the group and the alleged perpetrator. No one has yet been questioned and the investigation by the State Office of Criminal Investigation into an attempted homicide is in full swing.
