Acropolis introduces new attraction for €5000

The Acropolis is the most visited tourist attraction in Greece. Now Athens is making private tours possible for wealthy visitors.

"The Acropolis Experience now offers visitors the exclusive opportunity to privately enjoy this perfect architectural expression of the Greek spirit," according to Hellenic Heritage, where the tours are offered under the name "The Acropolis Experience". According to the website, the tours take place outside regular opening hours and are limited to a maximum of five participants per booking. 

Visits also possible with a guide
This means that up to four group visits can take place at the same time, starting on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7.00 am or 8.00 pm. Visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Site can be booked without a guided tour from July 12 and with a guided tour in several languages from August 2. The offer is intended to allow visitors to avoid the usual rush during opening hours. However, you will have to pay 5000 euros for this option.

Normally, tickets cost between 20 and 30 euros. Due to the huge rush in recent years, time slot tickets are now available.
