Garage in flames – 130 firefighters in action

The garage contained two vehicles for the sale of meat and sausages - both cars were connected to the power supply to safeguard the cold chain. The residents of the neighboring house noticed the fire and immediately raised the alarm.

Gas cylinder detonated - no injuries
The Floriani were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the adjacent residential building. "As soon as we arrived, we saw that the roof structure was on fire," explains Peter Schmidhuber, commander of the Thalgau fire department. And: "There were several gas cylinders in the garage, one of which had already detonated." 

After almost 90 minutes, the fire was out. The property damage is enormous, but nobody was injured. According to the fire department, not only the two sales vans, but also the associated rooms and parts of the roof truss and a workshop were destroyed by the flames. The operation was brought to an end at around 5.30 am.
