Ace: Are the first headphones an ace in terms of sound?

With the Sonos Ace, the US manufacturer Sonos, previously known primarily for its WLAN and Bluetooth speakers, is entering the competitive market for wireless ANC headphones - and is doing some things differently to the competition, particularly in terms of operation, but also price. But is the Ace also an ace in terms of sound? Krone+ has tested it.

However, before you can put it on and try it out, you have to unpack it. In this respect, the Ace is remarkably simple and ecologically exemplary: the unprepossessing cardboard box conceals the felt-looking transport bag, which is made from 75 percent recycled plastic bottles and contains the headphones, which are wrapped in either black or white, at least partially recycled plastic and fitted with artificial leather on the headband and the magnetically removable and therefore replaceable ear cups.
