It's probably every parent's nightmare to see their own child seriously ill and suffering - and for NFL star Tevin Coleman, this nightmare has now come true! As the 30-year-old running back for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets revealed recently, his daughter Nazaneen, who is just 6 years old, even had to be given artificial respiration ... 

The girl, who has suffered from sickle cell anemia since birth - which can cause infections, pain, strokes and organ damage - was recently hospitalized due to an acute deterioration in her health.

There, she was put on a BiPAP ventilator, "which essentially means she couldn't breathe on her own and needed the machine to expand her lungs and breathe for her," the athlete's wife Akilah reported on Instagram.

Nazaneen is "the most resilient girl I know", writes mother Akilah on Instagram. "There are moments in life when you find yourself without wealth or success and nothing else matters but the air in your lungs."

In the meantime, the 6-year-old, whose twin brother Nezerah passed away from sickle cell anemia, is doing well again. Incidentally, little Nazaneen's illness was "inherited" from her father Tevon, who himself had to be treated repeatedly during his time in the NFL ...
