Man killed in Dortmund: Suspects are children!
A man was killed in a violent confrontation at the port of Dortmund in the German Ruhr region on Thursday evening. A 13-year-old boy was provisionally arrested by the police as a suspect. Germany is shocked.
The 13-year-old is said to have killed the 31-year-old homeless man. A cell phone video shows how the child allegedly stabbed the man with a knife on Thursday evening. The autopsy had also already revealed that the 31-year-old victim had been killed by several stab wounds.
In an initial statement, the investigators had initially reported an as yet unidentified victim and four young people aged between 13 and 15 who had been arrested. One of them, a 14-year-old, is believed to have filmed the crime on his cell phone.
Eyewitnesses observed the stabbing
Witnesses had observed an altercation and called the police. Four people fled, but were provisionally arrested a few minutes later. According to the current state of the investigation, it can now be assumed "that the four people arrested met the victim by chance at the harbor". The possible murder knife was tracked down by a police dog near the crime scene.
Homicide squad investigating
The two 13-year-olds who were initially arrested have already been released from police custody after their hearings, while the other two are reportedly being represented by lawyers and will be questioned later today. "It will then be decided whether they will be brought before a magistrate."
