Drunk driving
Drunk cyclist caught three times already
Hiccup! Within just two days, a Hungarian cyclist was caught drunk by police officers in the Innviertel region. The man was banned from continuing his journey each time. He must also expect a hefty administrative fine. On Friday morning, he was caught by a patrol with 1.47 per mille alcohol in his blood.
"Oh alcohol, oh alcohol, I know that you are my enemy, but the Bible says that you should love your enemies", was probably the thought of the Hungarian man who has been pulled over three times by the police since Wednesday in a heavily intoxicated state.
Morning reveller
The 47-year-old was sitting on a bicycle on each occasion and was happily lurching through the area. After he had already been caught twice by police officers on Wednesday, he caught the attention of a patrol in Pfaffstätt on Friday morning. Although it was only 10 o'clock on the clock, the good man already had 1.47 per mille alcohol in his blood. He had to get off his bike and was then only allowed to push it.
Alcohol limit on the bike
There is an alcohol limit of 0.8 per mille for cyclists in Austria. The drunkard who was caught could now also have his driver's license taken away. However, it is unclear whether this will happen. The Hungarian will return to his home country on Saturday.
