All employees in Austria will soon automatically become significantly "richer", as the contributions they have already made to their pension account will once again be increased by more than ever before at the turn of the year. In concrete terms, this means that the annual gross pension to which we will later be entitled will increase by up to 2500 euros on January 1, 2026.

This is exceptionally good news in times of inflation and austerity packages: The annual pension we have earned so far will soon be significantly larger in one fell swoop. And the government is not cutting anything here either, although there have been considerations. Important: This is not about those who have already retired, but about the pension accounts of those in active employment.
