Sports center to be renovated

Great joy among the members of SV Feldkirchen - the sports building is being completely renovated. There is a grant of 1.5 million euros for the young footballers of the Tiebelstadt. 

The sports building at the Leopold Arena is to be completely renovated with immediate effect. "This is a great day for the sports family. This will create important infrastructure that will be used by young and old every day," said Governor Peter Kaiser at the ground-breaking ceremony.

The club has 280 members, 230 of whom are junior footballers from SV Feldkirchen. Sports councillor Helmut Kraßnig: "The building is 40 years old. It's high time for renovation." The clubhouse is being gutted and the windows, roof, sanitary facilities and changing rooms are being renovated. "We are also installing a PV system on the roof of the sports building."

Tuesday is also a historic day for Mayor Martin Treffner: "We are talking about an investment of 1.5 million euros." Among other things, the project is being made possible by subsidies amounting to 1.1 million euros. The rest will be covered by the municipality. Treffner: "The soccer pitch will also be equipped with an automatic irrigation system." The construction work should be completed by the beginning of May 2025.
