Missing hiker found dead in Switzerland

Rescue teams from Vorarlberg and Switzerland spent several days searching for a missing hiker from the Feldkirch district. The 66-year-old had already set off on a hike in the Rätikon on Wednesday - and disappeared without a trace. 

Since Sunday afternoon, there is now sad certainty. A hiker from Germany found the missing Vorarlberger in the Rätikon region, not far from the Salaruelkopf.

The body of the 66-year-old was lying off the hiking trails on Swiss territory. The crew of the REGA helicopter recovered the body and flew it down into the valley.
