Martina Schmit's organic farm in Zagersdorf is one of the best known in the country. Awarded the "Burgenland Regionality Prize" and the title "Farm Shop of the Year 2021", the direct marketer has been regarded as an innovative model family business and a guarantor of high-quality products and sustainable production for more than two decades. But now the farmer has been targeted by food regulators and may have to spend time behind bars. But first things first.
