All “red-white-red” with the Red Munich Bavarians
Oberbank and the German soccer champions Bayern Munich have been friends for many years. A good reason to invite important business friends and long-standing partners to a soccer match together with the "Krone".
Led by CEO Martin Seiter - a die-hard Bayern fan - and "OÖ-Krone" editor-in-chief Alexandra Halouska , they celebrated a well-deserved 2:0 victory for the record champions on Saturday in glorious imperial weather in an event box at the stadium, which was completely sold out with 75,000 spectators.
One of the absolute highlights of the day was the visit of former top player and Champions League winner Stefan Effenberg with his wife Claudia. Incidentally, the 55-year-old no longer plays himself, as he explained. "I want people to remember me the way I played when I was active." He then added with a grin: "Besides, the risk of injury is far too great at my age." When he was then asked by Martin Seiter about the Austrian national team's chances at the upcoming European Championships in Germany, he surprised everyone with his answer: "Of course you have a very difficult group, but I believe that you will finish second behind France and make it through to the round of 16. You have a good team and an excellent coach in Ralf Rangnick." Naturally, the 60 guests from Austria in the box were delighted to hear this and enjoyed an all-round successful day of soccer in Munich.
