Tractor versus bike: twice the “same” accident

Almost the "same" accident twice in just two hours: First a tractor and a motorcycle collided with each other in Pettenbach on Saturday morning, and only a little later the same thing happened in Neulichtenberg. Both collisions did not end well for the bikers.

First, on Saturday morning in Pettenbach, a local 73-year-old man on his tractor collided with a motorcyclist (24, from Kirchdorf) at an intersection. According to the police, the pensioner turned left at the junction of Gewerbestraße Nord 2 and Vorchdorfer Straße - which resulted in a crash. The biker was seriously injured and had to be flown to hospital by a rescue helicopter.

Only a short time later, less than two hours later, there was another collision between a tractor and a motorcycle in Neulichtenberg: just as a biker (34, from Lower Austria) was about to overtake, a 23-year-old man from Mühlviertel turned off in his agricultural vehicle. The motorcyclist hit the left front tire of the tractor, causing him to fall. After emergency medical treatment, he also had to be taken to hospital.
