Pickerl chaos for private cars on the trolleybus
What happened in the trolleybus garage in Alpenstraße in Salzburg? Because there are gross inconsistencies in the appraisals for private cars in the bus workshops. As a result, two employees are no longer allowed to work as experts.
The accusations against Salzburg Linien are serious, and Salzburg's Greens have addressed them to Governor Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP) in an urgent question in the state parliament. In the workshops of the trolleybus depot in the provincial capital, there is said to have been a lively issue of "Pickerln" - Section 57a - for private cars. So many, in fact, that the workshop's authorization to issue stickers was temporarily withdrawn and even trolleybuses had to be issued with stickers by external bodies. In order to clarify the issues, Simon Heilig-Hofbauer and party leader Martina Berthold submitted the questions to the state parliament on Tuesday. Answers must be provided within two weeks.
Those responsible at Salzburg Linien, which was previously the transport division of Salzburg AG, have already responded to a "Krone" inquiry. "Inconsistencies were found in the appraisals of private cars," says the company. Expert appraisals by two employees are said to be under scrutiny. Salzburg Linien and Salzburg AG used to provide the premises for private appraisals.
The first consequences: The employees were "severely reprimanded and are no longer active as experts until further notice or until clarification." After the spin-off to Salzburg Linien, the workshop will only be able to issue stickers for the trolleybuses and the dual control principle will apply. During the transition phase, the buses were inspected externally. According to those responsible, no trolleybuses were affected by the inconsistencies.
