If you are still looking for a suitable pet, you might find one here. From dwarf bearded dragons to large terriers, there are plenty of pets waiting for a place to live at the Linz animal shelter. Here we take a closer look at some of them.

Mia
Six-year-old Mia originally came to the shelter because her first owners were unable to cope with the lively dog and a newborn. The American Staffordshire Terrier is now looking for a home where she can be given enough time. She always reacts a little cautiously and anxiously to strangers at first. If you give her enough time to get used to them, Mia turns out to be an absolute cuddle monster. She is compatible with other dogs and can be left alone for several hours.

Phoebe and Filou
The 15-year-old siblings Phoebe and Filou are looking for a home together. The two are very unproblematic and quiet indoor cats. They are used to being allowed to use a furnished balcony and love to enjoy the fresh air there. Phoebe takes a little longer to get used to strangers than Filou.

Massimo
The nine-month-old rabbit Massimo is currently being kept indoors and is still looking for a new species-appropriate enclosure with a partner. As he is very shy, there should be no small children in his new home.

Prischka
After she was rescued in a house fire, three-year-old Prischka was brought to the animal shelter by the fire department. Unfortunately, she was not picked up by her owners. We are now looking for a suitable home for this sporty dog with equally active people. Prischka still has to learn to stay alone and basic training.

Wilma
Until now, three-year-old Wilma has been kept very isolated in an apartment. Because she was hardly kept busy there and was underchallenged, she became increasingly aggressive towards her owner. The velvet paw has already had to undergo an operation due to bladder stones. She is now dependent on special food to prevent new crystals from developing in her bladder. We are looking for understanding owners without small children for Wilma. She should also be given access to the outdoors again or to a furnished balcony.

Milly
The two three-year-old dwarf bearded dragon ladies Milly (pictured) and Lola are being placed together. The staff at the Linz animal shelter will be happy to advise you on the necessary housing conditions for these extraordinary reptiles.
