A pensioner from the district of Neusiedl am See had a nasty surprise. She had suffered a complicated leg fracture in a fall weeks ago and her recovery was a long one - surgery in hospital, rehabilitation in a nursing home. In the middle of her convalescence, the patient was given notice to vacate her apartment by the end of March at the latest! 

"This can't be true!" The 79-year-old reacted with dismay to this bad news. "I just want to return to my familiar surroundings and be able to hold my poodle and my cat, which a neighbor looks after, in my arms in the garden again," says the injured pensioner, who is currently being cared for in a retirement home in Purbach and is holding the unexpected termination letter in her hands full of worry.
