Man threatens ex (41) and kicks apartment door

A 32-year-old man allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend on Monday evening in Vienna-Margareten and tried to get into her apartment.

The police were alerted at around 10.30 p.m. because a 32-year-old man had allegedly threatened to kill his 41-year-old ex-girlfriend. After the victim did not open the door to the ex's apartment, he is said to have kicked the door and damaged it.

Preliminary arrest
When the police arrived at the address, the suspect was still in the stairwell. He was provisionally arrested. He was banned from entering and approaching the premises and a temporary weapons ban was issued. He is now in police custody.
