Yellowstone accusation: Brosnan pleads guilty
Is the ex-007 a sinner against nature? Actor Pierce Brosnan has certainly pleaded guilty - albeit apparently reluctantly.
As top agent James Bond, Pierce Brosnan saved the world in four films - in his private life, he was recently accused of recklessly contributing to its destruction.
Last year, the star faced charges in the US state of Wyoming for allegedly entering protected thermal areas of Yellowstone National Park without permission. After a slight reluctance, he has now apparently pleaded guilty, as reported by "TMZ".
Fine for Bond on the wrong track
According to court documents obtained by the site, Brosnan has now entered into a deal: he admitted to leaving the permitted paths in November 2023, for which he was only charged 1,500 US dollars as a penalty and all other charges were dropped.
Apparently a change of heart: two months ago, the actor is said to have pleaded not guilty. If found guilty, he would have faced a fine of up to 5,000 US dollars and up to six months in prison, according to the website.
Dangerous areas in the national park
The incident is said to have occurred on November 1, 2023. Yellowstone National Park, which is largely located in Wyoming, is known for its hot springs and geysers - but dangerous areas are closed to visitors. For the most part, they have to stay on the trails and observe the attractions from a distance. According to the allegations, Brosnan had violated the restrictions in force in the park.
