Better grades thanks to the digital learning workshop

Over 1900 pupils used the digital learning support service in Lower Austria last semester. Registration for the new semester starts on February 17 - the service is free for holders of the Lower Austrian Family Pass. 

From today, school is back in session here in Austria. Family Pass holders can get free support to help them master the second semester of school grades after the vacations. With the digital learning workshop, tutors, students from teacher training colleges and universities, offer their help to pupils. The courses are simply booked online, after which six hours of individual learning support - optionally in different subjects - can be taken advantage of.

"I am very pleased that the learning support has been so well received and that numerous pupils have been able to improve their grades with the help of student teachers," explains Provincial Councillor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister.

Children and young people have been able to make use of the digital learning support for three and a half years now: In the process, around 150 tutors have completed more than 8500 hours. Last semester alone, 1900 pupils took advantage of the offer. Registration starts on February 17.
