Luxury console around €800
PS5 Pro review: Twice as expensive, twice as good?
Japanese electronics giant Sony recently launched a luxury version of its PlayStation 5 - the PS5 Pro. In a more compact housing, it offers a more powerful main processor, more memory and AI upscaling. However, it also costs almost twice as much as the regular model. Is the upgrade worth it? Krone+ has tested it.
You pay a good 800 euros street price for the luxury console without a drive, compared to around 450 euros for the "normal" PS5 model. If you want to retrofit a Blu-Ray drive or set up the console in portrait format, you have to dig even deeper into your wallet and end up paying over 900 euros. A huge jump in price when you consider that there was only a 100 euro price difference between the professional PS4 and the standard model in the last console generation. Let's take a closer look at the luxury console.
