Cars flung 70 meters apart after crash

The force of the collision must have been terrible: In a head-on accident on the B309 near Hargelsberg (Upper Austria), the two cars involved were thrown 70 meters apart.

A 77-year-old man from Steyr was driving his car on the B309 in the municipality of Hargelsberg from the direction of Enns in the direction of Steyr at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday. At the same time, a 35-year-old Romanian national from Asten was driving a company car in the opposite direction. For reasons as yet unknown, the two vehicles collided head-on.

Massive collision
Due to the violent collision, the vehicles came to a standstill about 70 meters apart. Following vehicles helped the injured people out of the vehicles. After first aid, the drivers were taken to hospital in Linz.
