Abicht second last: “More was not possible”

Lorena Abicht completed the last races in the iQFoil windsurfing category on Thursday and was able to improve from last to penultimate place in the final heat. "That was the best I could do," said Abicht.

"I really wanted to finish with a strong result, and I managed that with an eleventh place. I really left nothing to chance and gave it my very best. I'm proud of myself," said Abicht, who only started windsurfing two and a half years ago.

Medal Races postponed
The Medal Races of the Olympic sailing classes 49er and 49er FX without Austrian participation were postponed to Friday on Thursday off Marseille due to weak winds.
