Head-on crash: first aider happened to be a doctor

There was a crash on the Nockalmstraße in Bad Kleinkirchheim on Wednesday afternoon. A motorcyclist from Hungary was seriously injured in the accident!

Presumably because the 44-year-old man from Hungary had driven his motorcycle too far into the middle of the road, the serious accident occurred at around 4.45 p.m. on the Nockalmstraße, which had to be closed for around one and a half hours as a result.

"Crashed into the windshield"
"He crashed head-on into the oncoming car, driven by a 29-year-old man from Germany," the police report: "The motorcyclist was thrown against the windshield and then over the car, coming to rest on the road with serious injuries!"

Doctor who happened to follow
Initial medical treatment was provided by a doctor who happened to be following and the emergency services. The seriously injured man was flown to Klagenfurt University Hospital by the emergency medical team from the C11 rescue helicopter. "The driver of the car and his passenger were uninjured."
