Governor Kaiser fights persistent rumors

Governor Peter Kaiser's party lost 2.8 percentage points in the European elections in Carinthia - and that's not the only thing that's bothering him. He is currently battling persistent rumors...

The rumor mill is churning - and not just right now, if we're being precise. Because the rumors that are currently being passed around behind closed doors are constantly emerging and persisting.

They are as follows: Governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) is to resign from office this year - and some people already want to know who might, could or should succeed him. Incidentally, these predictions do not have much to do with the rather bitter results of the Reds in the EU elections - they already existed beforehand.

Will Kaiser remain LH?
And what is the truth? LH spokesperson Andreas Schäfermeier knows more: "The governor is known for doing what he says and saying what he does." And until now, he has always said that he will remain in office until the end of the legislative period, i.e. until 2028.

"Exactly," confirms Schäfermeier: "He will finish the legislative term as LH. Because there is still a lot to do and continuity is needed, especially in times like these."
