In the middle of the night: fire alarm at construction site in Wörgl

Fire alarm on Tuesday night in Wörgl in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein: A fire broke out on a construction site at a company premises. The emergency services were quickly on the scene and were apparently able to prevent worse. The cause is not yet known.

The fire department was alerted at around 11.30 pm. According to the police, the fire had broken out in the area of the company building, which is currently being renovated. A newly erected wooden wall had gone up in flames.

"Fire out" shortly after 1 a.m.
The emergency services were quickly on site and were eventually able to bring the fire under control and extinguish it. "The 'fire out' signal was given at 1.10 am", according to the executive.

Cause of fire still unclear
No one was injured. The amount of material damage caused cannot yet be quantified. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.
