As is well known, the ÖFB is completely reorganizing the academy leagues for the 2024/25 season, reducing the top league to twelve clubs and creating a new regional youth league - and issuing new licensing criteria to do so. Which proved to be Austria Klagenfurt's undoing. Now even going to court has not helped. .

Everything was already fixed in February, but Austria Klagenfurt wanted to keep it a secret: the academy's relegation to the newly created regional youth league.

Now the violet protest at the Permanent Neutral Court of Arbitration has also been rejected. Further steps are being kept open. As things stand, Austria will therefore only be competing in the second-highest AKA league next season with clubs such as St. Pölten, Pinzgau & Co. Ex-professional Rolf Landerl is also set to help as coach - according to information from the "Krone" newspaper, the ex-Admira coach has been lured to Carinthia.

Managing director Peer Jaekel says of the academy issue: "We can't follow the ÖFB's reasoning. But the bottom line is that we remain an academy, we just play in a different group and want to pave the way for everyone to play professional soccer."

Apart from that, the contract with convalescent defender Simon Straudi was extended.
