Regulars on stage
Diabelli Summer attracts with familiar faces
This year's Diabelli Summer attracts visitors with familiar faces on stage and great musical hopes from Mozart to Haydn and Puccini.
Hope plays a central role at this year's Diabelli Summer. This season, the organizers of the music festival want to bring melodies to life and open up spaces for freedom and peace. The festival is not limited to just one musical genre. Great chamber music, jazz and folk music characterize the program of this year's Diabelli Summer in Mattsee.
A tried and tested concept in which audience favorites also play a major role. Many regular guests will once again be performing in Mattsee this year. Benjamin Schmid, Clemens Hagen and Ariane Haering have formed the "Special Trio" for 19 years now. Veronika Hagen joins the trio this year with her golden viola. This summer, the ensemble will be performing works by Mozart and Brahms. Joseph Haydn's "Sunrise" will be performed at the opening of the Diabelli Summer in the collegiate church. Works by Schubert, Puccini and Ravel complete the opening evening.
The Ausseer Bradlmusi dedicate themselves to folk music ranging from violin yodels to fresh polkas. Weather permitting, the varied concert will take place on the castle terrace. The piano duo Ariadita, founded in Mattsee, will follow in the footsteps of jazzy modern music.
Music lovers will have to be patient a little longer when it comes to Christmas pasticcio. This will take place this year on December 20 with Sepp Radauer and, for the first time, with Salzburg actress Gaby Schuchter in the collegiate church.
