Burglars steal 25-kilo safe from Tyrolean hotel
Unknown perpetrators have been up to mischief in Tyrolean hotels over the past few days. After thieves had gained access to a room in Pettneu am Arlberg on Tuesday, on Wednesday unknown persons cleared out a room in Kappl (Landeck district). A safe was even stolen in Neustift in the Stubai Valley.
During the night of Ash Wednesday, the burglars broke into the accommodation establishment in Neustift. They stole cash worth several thousand euros and a 25 kilogram safe. But that's not all: the unknown perpetrators also caused property damage of over a thousand euros.
Over a thousand euros stolen from a room
Also on Ash Wednesday, thieves stole from a hotel in Kappl (Landeck district). Between 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m., the perpetrators are said to have gained unnoticed access to a room and stolen more than a thousand euros.
As reported, a very similar case had already occurred on Tuesday in Pettneu am Arlberg, where thieves had robbed the room of two holidaymakers in a guesthouse in broad daylight while they were on the ski slopes.
