Trial in Innsbruck
Sausage stand dispute: celebrity scion faces invalidity
A Kitzbühel restaurateur (52) struck at a sausage stand because of a triviality. Since then, nothing in the victim's young life has been the same. Now the Tyrolean is on trial for the beating attack.
In August, a sausage stand was a stopover at the fair in Kitzbühel for a young Viennese from a good family. This turned into the tragedy of his young life. It is questionable whether he will ever be able to continue his studies, whether he will remain an invalid ...
Six slaps and a punch in the face
What happened? The 21-year-old came from the toilet, wanted to pass the people waiting to get the sausage he had ordered from his friend at the counter. A local restaurateur insulted him as a pushy person, gave him six blows with the flat of his hand and then a fatal final blow with his fist. "I'm horrified at myself," he sighed when the two-minute surveillance video was shown. The alcohol (several beers and gin and tonics) was no explanation, as he had never snapped because of it, even in his earlier days as a bouncer.
Blood clot diagnosed in the brain
The 21-year-old hit his head on the asphalt and was later diagnosed with a blood clot in his brain. "For weeks, his parents trembled for his life, he has vision problems and is no longer the same," emphasized the private party representative. The doctors have banned mental exertion and sport for the time being. It is not yet clear whether and what permanent consequences will remain.
Sentenced to a conditional prison sentence
The previously blameless defendant received a 16-month conditional prison sentence and a fine of 1440 euros. He handed over 1000 euros in partial compensation in court. Civil claims will probably amount to tens of times that amount.
