A turmoil at the retreat: Felix Schellhorn is leaving the family hotel in Goldegg in Salzburg after two years. The top chef is retiring completely unexpectedly and with immediate effect - despite three toques. However, the romantic four-star hotel will reopen on St. Nicholas weekend.
"Not everything in life always goes according to plan" - this is probably how Felix Schellhorn looks back on the past few years. The chef, artist and son of State Secretary Sepp Schellhorn (NEOS) returned to the family business in Goldegg two years ago. With his young and cheeky style of cooking, the 32-year-old has turned the romantic and sleepy Seehof around. Now he is surprisingly turning his back on the four-star establishment.
