Man (20) beaten up on a park bench in Vienna

On Friday evening, a 20-year-old man was sitting on a park bench in the area of Schüttauplatz in Vienna-Donaustadt when three men unknown to him approached him. After a brief conversation, the three strangers punched the 20-year-old until he fell to the ground. 

The three men allegedly threatened him and took his valuables. The suspects then fled in the direction of Kaisermühlendamm. An immediate search for the men was unsuccessful.

The 20-year-old was given initial emergency medical treatment by Vienna's professional ambulance service, but refused transportation to hospital and was discharged into home care. The investigation is ongoing.
