Ex’s acquaintance ambushed with a gang of thugs

As has only now become known, a 20-year-old and several other people ambushed an acquaintance of his ex-girlfriend in Klagenfurt last Wednesday. The group surrounded the 18-year-old's car and hit it. A witness observed the incident and is now being sought by the police.

On Wednesday evening, a 19-year-old woman spoke to the 18-year-old, also from Klagenfurt, via online messenger about a previous relationship dispute with her ex-boyfriend. The two then agreed to meet in Dr. Richard-Canaval-Gasse at around 7.30 pm. "The young woman's ex-girlfriend found out about this plan and then wanted to meet with the 18-year-old to clarify the situation," the police said.

Car surrounded and smashed into
When the 18-year-old arrived at the agreed meeting point, he could already see from the car how several people were approaching the vehicle. "They surrounded the car, prevented the Klagenfurt man from driving on and hit the vehicle with full force. The man then drove forward slowly, pushed one of the people away slightly and was then able to flee," an officer described.

An immediate manhunt was initiated and was successful. All the people involved - they are between 15 and 20 years old - were stopped and taken to the Pischeldorfer Straße police station.

Police ask for useful information
A passer-by with a small white dog, possibly a Chihuahua or Maltese according to the police, was walking in the area of the bus stop opposite the Progress Center when the incident occurred in Dr.-Richard-Canaval-Gasse and may have observed something. She and any other possible witnesses are asked to contact the police station in Pischeldorfer Straße on 059133-2584 or any other police station.
