Arrest: Several children threatened in courtyard

On Thursday afternoon, a 38-year-old man terrified several children in Vienna-Penzing. When he approached them, he threatened to kill them. Shortly afterwards, he fled.

The children were playing together in the courtyard of an apartment building when the suspect approached the children at around 6.15 pm. Shortly afterwards, he threatened to kill them. The frightened children immediately rushed to their mother, who then alerted the police.

Suspect fled into the apartment
A short time later, the officers were able to find the suspect in the apartment of a friend of the man. When he behaved aggressively towards the police officers and insulted them loudly, they arrested him immediately.

Alcohol test refused
The 38-year-old's motive is still unclear. He has yet to be questioned. The 38-year-old refused to be tested for alcohol.
