Fists and kicks
Two families got into a brawl over cell phones
A not-so-successful argument between two families on Friday night in Vienna-Margareten resulted in two injuries and seven charges.
Two families met in Vienna-Margareten on Friday night to discuss the return of a cell phone. As so often in such cases, it did not end well: According to police spokesman Mattias Schuster, the conversation escalated. The differences were settled with fists and kicks, resulting in seven charges and two injuries.
"Chaotic scuffle"
The meeting took place at around 11.30 pm in Schönbrunner Straße. The background was probably that a man from one family had formed an affectionate relationship with a woman from the other family, but this had broken up. In the end, all that remained to be clarified was how the cell phone was to be returned, when and under what conditions.
A "chaotic scuffle" developed, according to Schuster. Two of those involved, a 19-year-old and a 43-year-old, were taken to hospital with bruises, according to "Heute", citing the professional rescue service. Seven people were reported.
