Unknown persons fed razor blades to dog

Another cruel case of animal cruelty: a dog in Bregenz ate food it had found in the garden - but it was a nasty trap.

As reported by the police, a drastic incident occurred last Monday in the Vorarlberg provincial capital: unknown persons wrapped several razor blades with food and then threw them into a house garden. When the dog, who lives in the house with a family, ran into the garden, he found the bait - and ate it.

Witnesses are being sought
The four-legged friend only survived the cowardly attack through emergency surgery. The dog had suffered severe injuries to its digestive tract. The police are now investigating unknown perpetrators on suspicion of cruelty to animals. Witnesses who can provide information about the crime are asked to contact the Bregenz police.
