Crash in railroad underpass: several cars involved

Crash in the railroad underpass on Gudrunstraße in Vienna-Favoriten: Three cars collided with each other there on Friday afternoon. The accident victims had to be treated by the ambulance service. 

When the emergency services of the Vienna Fire Department arrived, two vehicles were parked in the two lanes heading towards Simmering. According to the Vienna Fire Department, a third car was pushed onto the sidewalk against the wall of the underpass.

"The drivers were able to leave the vehicles independently, one person was still in the passenger seat of one of the cars with undetermined injuries, but was not trapped," said the fire department. People from the fire department looked after the casualty until the ambulance arrived.

Scene closed to traffic
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined and is under investigation. The scene of the accident was closed during the operation.
