“Enshrouded” is best German computer game

"Enshrouded" has been named the best German computer game of the year. Its developer Keen Games was also honored as Studio of the Year and won in the game design and technical achievement categories. The Viennese studio Microbird was the winner in the Indie Game category with "Dungeons of Hinterberg".

In "Enshrouded", players fight with sword, bow and arrow against the undead, the "Legions of Mist". Gamers not only have to survive battles, but also build houses and overcome other challenges. After its release in early 2024, it became a huge success among gamers.

Developer award is aimed at German-speaking countries
While the separate German Computer Game Award includes prize money totaling 800,000 euros and is only awarded to domestic studios, the Developer Award is aimed at studios from German-speaking countries, i.e. Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Viennese studio Microbird won the Indie Game category with its action game "Dungeons of Hinterberg", Slow Bros. GmbH from Cologne won the Graphics category with its adventure game "Harold Halibut" and Osmotic Studios from Hamburg won the Story, Audio Design and Innovation categories with its role-playing game "Closer the Distance".
