Drunk driver hurtled down the highway at 204 km/h

A car driver was in a particular hurry on the Inntalautobahn (A12) in the Tyrolean Oberland on Tuesday night: the speeding driver was traveling at more than 200 km/h and was flashed by the police. The speeding driver had to surrender his driver's license. He has also lost his car for the time being. A breathalyzer test was also positive.

At around midnight, the police carried out speed checks on the A12 near Zirl in the Innsbruck-Land district. At 0.10 a.m., a particularly speedy driver came into the officers' sights.

Almost 100 km/h too fast on the road
At 204 km/h, the 23-year-old local man sped his car into the speed trap. The speed limit in this area at the time was only 110 km/h. The speeding hooligan was finally stopped by the police near Pettnau and confronted.

License and car gone, alcohol test positive
"The man's driver's license was temporarily confiscated and the vehicle confiscated," said the investigators.

But that's not all: a breathalyzer test was positive. Corresponding charges followed - the local man faced a hefty fine.
