Man (58) fell from the roof of his house and died

There were two serious accidents at work in Upper Austria on Tuesday. In Rohrbach, a 58-year-old man fell from the roof of his own house and was fatally injured. In Munderfing, an 18-year-old slipped and fell, hitting the builder in the process.

In Rohrbach-Berg, the 58-year-old wanted to throw polystyrene boards from the second floor of his house onto the garage forecourt at around 3.15 pm. For unknown reasons, he probably lost his balance and fell from a height of six meters to the ground, suffering fatal injuries.

In Munderfing, an 18-year-old apprentice was working with several colleagues on a building site, shoring up the roof of a house. The boy probably slipped and fell from the roof onto the second scaffolding level.

Fall onto the builder 
He then fell around four meters between the scaffolding and the house wall. Just at that moment, the builder went outside through the front door and was hit by the apprentice. The 18-year-old suffered injuries of indeterminate severity and was taken to Salzburg Accident Hospital. The 40-year-old builder was slightly injured and did not require medical assistance for the time being.
