Is Paul Pogba moving to his native France?

After his doping ban was drastically shortened, Paul Pogba will be back on the pitch in March. However, this is unlikely to be for Juventus Turin, where his contract is to be terminated. According to local media reports, the 31-year-old is much more likely to be drawn to France. 

Pogba is said to already be negotiating a deal with Olympique Marseille. In 2012, the midfielder transferred from Manchester United's U21 team to the Juventus Turin professional team, where he made his breakthrough. Following his return to the Red Devils and another move to Turin, Marseille would be Pogba's first professional stop in France.

Last game over a year ago
Pogba played his last game in September 2023, when the midfielder won 2-0 against Empoli with the Old Lady. The Juventus professional had been tested for doping substances a few weeks earlier, with the sample revealing an elevated tetosterone level.

The 2018 world champion denies having used banned substances to boost his performance. However, he admitted to having taken a food supplement whose package insert refers to performance-enhancing substances.
